Last month, Wale brought out Fat Trel and Shy Glizzy for his homecoming show at Howard Theater. The event wasn't echoed on the blog circuit, but for those that follow Washington's rap scene, even loosely, it's a pretty significant ceasefire. Though it felt like Glizzy was far more visible than Trel during his stint with Louie V Mob, these are still the most celebrated street rappers in D.C. right now. "I Am D.C." is rumored to be a cut from Glizzy's forthcoming album, which is rumored to debut at this weekend's 2nd annual Glizzy Day on 37th Street. It employs a trite formula, but I can't imagine this not eventually becoming a huge regional hit with the right push.
