SLIM THUG: Blow In The Wind

(Fyre! The Mixtape; 2012)
'Blow In Da Wind' is easily the most compelling Slim Thug appearance since his hilarious recession burdened interview with Daily Show correspondent Wyatt Cenac back in 2009. Produced by faux-phonetic spelling enthusiast Cy Fyre, the bloodcurdling synths and Street Fighter II samples would lead you to believe he installed a 16-bit console emulator onto his Triton keyboard. Fyre draws upon the same hauntingly digital aesthetic pioneered by Alchemist and later exported to Sid Roams for the bulk of Product of the 80's and HNIC 2. Blaze Burna and Le$ blatantly hijack Rick Ross' BMF flow, but the latter nearly makes amends by alleging "I don't even want ya' bitch, I'm fuckin' her outta' spite."
