ACTION BRONSON: Pouches of Tuna

Action Bronson & Roc Marciano - "Pouches of Tuna"
(Blue Chips; 2012)

As a promotion for his 8th studio album, Cormega recently unveiled M.A.R.S. the Frankenstein alliance consisting of Empire State stalwarts Action Bronson, Roc Marciano, Saigon, and Large Professor. In true supergroup fashion the results left much to be desired, as the only memorable pieces of the experiment were its clever code name and Corey's obligatory NBA metaphor. Fortunately, something positive was born out of this anemic co-op, evidenced by Bronsiano's percussion deprived 'Pouches of Tuna'. The charming gourmet chef and expressionless deadpan comic stumbled onto an undeniable chemistry, sharing an affinity for dark humor, foreign cars, fine cuisine, and the Assassin's Creed. Perhaps the duo should consider truncating the acronym coined by Mega down to its most appealing initials.
