HEAVY BUTTER #1

Heavy Butter Episode #1
(Lattisaw Tapes; 2012)

Listen to my podcast. I discuss Nas, Lil B, Young Zee, Blu, and Valentines Day alone in a dim basement while downing a six pack of Stella Artois. Enjoy.

  3. I'm puzzled as to how anybody listens to Lil B on any consistent basis. I know folks listen b/c they enjoy the hilarity of a an offbeat rapper w/ a discombobulated flow that throws out hysterically random memes.

do you people listen to Lil B for anything more than that?

I heard the "I'm Gay" album and I had a strange
mix of emotions like 'Amusement', 'Pity', 'Bewilderment'

I'm not interested in changing anybody mind on Brandon, I've really been past that kinda shit since high school.

But I just need to understand this Lil B fanaticism.

  4. co-sign people not appreciating something unless its CDQ (compact disc quality) I think

on the note of Blu, yeah I used to be one of those fans who wished he did all his music w/ Exile.

I really appreciate his attitude of just putting out steady flow of music. whether it be unmixed low fi albums/mixtapes, unannounced bandcamp albums, beat tape etc...

  5. We could debate this all day, but to make a long story short I think Lil B is one of the very few truly original rappers to come out in the last decade or so.

Yeah, I'm trying to hunt down all Blu's releases as I type. I don't think I've heard all those beat tapes.

  8. This was great man, keep them comin.

I think 6 Kiss and I'm Thraxx are really consistent though, they've only a few duds between them. I'm Gay being a lot of peoples intro to him is cool I suppose, on principle but its mostly pretty bad.

  9. Starting with Fighting Da Feds is the only way I could comfortably sit through all that Nas, good move.

  10. No red blooded American should have a hard time sitting through those Nas songs. Oh, wait...
