45th Greatest Rap Song of 2010

Shellz Liotta & BSG: 48 Bars of Terror (produced by M-Lito)

How do a couple of unsigned rappers manage to earn a placement on the "Top 50 Rap Songs of 2010", in the company of artists such as Kool G Rap, Prodigy, and ultimately Nasir Jones (this is Lattisaw Tapes, right)? I'll tell you how. Sick production, and insane bars. In an era where bloated guest features, techno synth inspired soundscapes, and chorus driven rap has become all too trendy, it's easy to forget that all you really need is a hot beat, melodic sample, and crazy lyricism to make create a great song. So to answer my original question - how do these guys get onto THIS list? Simple...they made an incredible record.
